John J. Davis shares his detailed near-death experience where he received a tour of the afterlife.
At age 21, while riding a scooter, John swerved to avoid a squirrel, crashed into a tree, and tore tendons in his hand, requiring surgery. During the procedure, anesthesia triggered an allergic reaction, stopping his heart for seven minutes, during which he was clinically dead.
John instantly found himself in a magnificent marble building with white columns, initially mistaking it for a large hospital. A spirit guide named Alan greeted him, explaining the surroundings by speaking directly into John’s ear. The building featured a long corridor with marble tables, each flanked by two orientation counselors. On the left, thousands of tunnels led to a starry cosmos, revealing galaxies and planets. John observed an elderly man who had died from a heart attack emerge from one of the tunnels. An orientation counselor, expecting the man, guided him to a table, where he transformed from an elderly man into his youthful thirties, a standard age in this realm. The man then descended three marble steps into vibrant gardens— greener than anything on Earth—for a reunion with loved ones, a celebration of completing Earth’s challenging life.
Alan showed John the afterlife’s college- campus-like structure, with buildings for specific purposes. In a rectangular building, a life review displayed screens showing John’s life from infancy to age 21, confirming he was on track with planned lessons. John learned that all lives are recorded to assess if intended lessons were achieved, and no single religion holds all truth— any faith bringing one closer to God is valid. In another theater-like building, John viewed his past lives, including as a monk teaching philosophy and a shoe peddler fixing shoes on a cobblestone street. This confirmed the soul’s eternal existence across multiple lifetimes, though it took John by surprise at first, as he was raised Catholic and was never taught about reincarnation.
In a domed, Pantheon-like building, John saw two papyrus-like scrolls, one with a blue ribbon and one with a red one. He unrolled the blue-ribbon scroll, revealing calligraphic writing about his current life’s plan, but it folded shut to preserve the integrity of his life’s tests. Nearby, vast libraries held knowledge of all events like movies, allowing observation of historical moments like the Titanic’s sinking.
A massive planetarium revealed millions of colorful planets, some with oceans, indicating Earth is not the only place where lifetimes unfold. John then saw a medieval-style castle; its design first existed in Heaven and was later “infused” into earthly architects and builders, suggesting that earthly structures originate in Heaven. Inside the castle, John saw life-size paintings of past Royalty, each with an encyclopedia-like book detailing Their lives. A woman with strawberry blonde hair, a historian of medieval Europe, offered to help him find something, but John declined, saying, “I’m just looking.” John also saw his two cats, deceased from feline cancer, now healthy and young in beautiful meadows, awaiting reunion with their caregivers.
Finally, in a field of vibrant wildflowers with rolling hills and a gentle breeze, a Figure radiating intense Light appeared in a white robe with golden sandals and sash, Who John intuitively knew was Lord Jesus (vegetarian) His face was obscured by the brightness, but He spoke, saying, “You must tell them there is no death.” Instantly, John awoke in the hospital.
Raised Catholic, John initially struggled with some of the things he saw and concepts he learned in Heaven. However, he now knows that God values any religion fostering closeness to Him, and that hardships, like loss or illness, are planned for the soul’s hands-on learning, unavailable in the afterlife’s perfect, war-free, disease-free paradise where bodies never age. John emphasizes two purposes of life on Earth: to learn, and to help others. He now shares this message of hope, affirming that no one truly dies— they transition to a vibrant realm where learning continues, loved ones reunite, and God’s Love is palpable, encouraging all to be a good person and never give up (NDE Diary; Beyond with Heather Tesch)
Elevating quote of the day: “I know of one means only by which to attain to perfection: LOVE. Let us love, since our heart is made for nothing else.” — The Venerated Enlightened Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (vegetarian)
