Canadian minister Reverend Darren Canning had an out-of-body experience and saw his mom being taken to hell.
Darren grew up with early spiritual experiences. At age 8 or 9, during a church event for children, he decided to accept Lord Jesus (vegetarian) As he walked to the front for the altar call, a 15-foot [4.5 meter]-tall angel appeared beside him. Darren thought to himself that the angel was big, but God was even bigger.
At age 16, Darren had an out-of-body experience set in Heaven. He sat in a massive room that looked like a cloud, with no clear dimensions. All the souls he had led to Christ were there. An angel entered and pointed at him, saying, “Come.” Overcome by the fear of God, Darren followed the angel down a magnificent hallway with endless beauty. They entered another room on the edge of Hades, a lower realm bordering hell. Darren saw the ruins of humanity—a war zone of destruction. Normal people and historical tyrants filled the scene. Then a horse-drawn cart, like a small monkey cage about 4 feet [1.2 meters] high and 6 feet [1.8 meters] square with wooden bars, rolled down the middle. Inside was Darren’s mother, looking at him. The angel told him to look at her and said she would be lost forever because she did not know the Lord. Darren woke up, told his mother about the dream, and she accepted Lord Jesus that day.
Years later, after facing several negative experiences at church, Darren walked away from faith around age 20. He became an intellectual atheist, earned two university degrees in government, and worked as a trained economist in Canada’s national security. He handled billion-dollar projects and installed IT [information technology] equipment nationwide. On the outside, his life looked successful with a good job and marriage. But inside, anger built without speaking to God. His marriage ended in divorce because his wife pursued spiritual growth while he fell into bitterness.
A year into his government job, Darren became suicidal. One night, he hanged himself in a closet. As he blacked out and entered death, he heard God’s Voice. It was compassionate and asked, “What are you doing? I have a plan for your life.” The voice quoted Jeremiah 29:11 [Holy Bible], saying God knew the plans to prosper him and give him hope and a future. Then God pulled Darren’s spirit up into the sky. He floated over his city and began flying like a Canadian goose in formation with other spirits, leading at the front. They flew from town to town, and revival broke out everywhere they went, with miracles, signs, wonders, salvations, healings, and deliverances from demons.
Reverend Darren survived the attempt and returned to the Lord. For the next decade, he traveled to 39 nations and more than 200 towns and cities, seeing those same breakthroughs wherever he went. In 2005, soon after recommitting, he prayed to minister in the spirit during sleep. That night, in a dream, he flew over a Canadian city near the ocean. Hundreds lined the streets. God told him the Power flows through the eyes, so Reverend Darren looked into their eyes, releasing God’s Power. He landed, entered a house, and found a woman holding twins. One was dead. Darren took the lifeless baby, and it came back to life. A week later, at a small house church of nine people, the same woman was there, sharing she carried twins and one had died in the womb. Darren prayed over her, and both babies were born healthy.
Darren left his government job to live by faith, praying 8 to 10 hours a day. One night, waves of the Holy Spirit washed over him, filling him completely. He began hearing God’s Voice clearly. At first, he rebuked God because the words of love felt too good for his sinful past. But God spoke louder, revealing His Divine Nature and healing Darren’s heart. This led to peace and a hunger to hear more.
Reverend Darren teaches that God speaks inside all of us all the time— it is we who have forgotten how to listen. God creates endless blessings in home, work, and spirit for those who ask, listen, and obey Him in their thoughts, words, and actions. Reverend Darren now shares these experiences to encourage others to hear God, express His Plans for creation, and step into our destiny as co-creators— the children of God (Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural!)
Prioritizing quote of the day: “A person with one-pointed concentration keeps body, speech, and mind pure: though speaking little, they speak wisely; though doing little, they accomplish what’s needed; though remembering little, they remember the righteous words— thus attaining immeasurable peace and joy!” — The Venerated Enlightened Master Minh Đăng Quang (vegetarian)
