More women in Tehran [Iran] are riding motorcycles despite the legal ban on female licenses, reflecting changing attitudes toward women’s freedom and equality (Euro News)
UK scientists highlight psyllium husk powder as a heart-healthy plant-based fiber that supports digestive health and lowers bad cholesterol. The powder forms a gel in the gut that traps and removes bad cholesterol before it’s absorbed. Dr. Michael Greger (vegan), a well-known nutrition expert, says he takes psyllium every day along with vitamins B12, D, and omega-3 from algae. Just mix a spoonful of psyllium powder into water or smoothies daily to level up your diet (Plant Based News)
As veganism rises, households worldwide will be crafting a crowd-pleasing vegan Thanksgiving feast this month. One of many options is to: + Swap turkey for a rich vegetable stew infused with global spices like Moroccan chickpeas or French-style mushrooms. + Pair with Indian lentil patties, smoky Mexican esquites salad, umami mushroom gravy over vegan-buttered mashed potatoes, and herb-stuffed bread. + End with coconut-milk pumpkin pie or apple crumble.
This inclusive feast slashes greenhouse gas emissions by 72% while bursting with flavor and tradition, as studies show vegan diets improve heart health and help prevent obesity, type 2 diabetes, and other chronic diseases (FOX 28 Spokane)

New report reveals lobbying and greenwashing by the Brazilian meat industry, which is attempting to portray itself as “part of the climate solution” during the UN COP30 climate summit in Belém [Brazil]. The meat industry’s tactics include promoting agribusiness as an “environmental powerhouse,” hosting journalist workshops on “fair metrics” for tropical agriculture, and buying out influencers and academic voices despite overwhelming scientific evidence of animal-people meat’s ruinous environmental impacts on land, air and sea. The report also notes that Brazil lacks measures to reduce the livestock industry’s methane emissions, while key climate policies are being weakened by negative lobbying influences (Vegconomist)
Animal-people including pets, livestock, and whale-folk are increasingly suffering chronic human-like diseases such as diabetes, cancer and arthritis due to genetics, poor diet, pollution, and climate change, study finds (SciTechDaily)
UK scientists discover a possible new sense called “remote touch” enabling humans to detect buried objects through subtle touch-based cues like shifting sands (Daily Star)
A new “phishing” scam targets iPhone users whose devices are lost or stolen. Scammers exploit Apple’s “Lost Mode” in the Find My app to send messages that appear legitimate, claiming the device has been located, and provide a link to “view its position.” When users click the link and enter their Apple ID and password, attackers gain access to their accounts. Users should avoid unknown links, never enter credentials via links, and check device status via the Find My app or iCloud.com (Báo Tin Tức)
Study from University of Granada [Spain] finds switching from a Mediterranean to a vegan diet cuts greenhouse gas emissions by 46%, uses 33% less land, and 7% less water while remaining nutritionally balanced (VegNews)

“Everything was through feeling, through emotion, energy. All of my questions were answered, and it all came down to one answer, and that was love.” Krista Gorman, an American physician assistant, shares how she died and was shown the answer to life’s greatest question.
Krista’s experience began during the traumatic delivery of her daughter in July 2000. After more than 13 hours of stalled labor, her baby’s heart rate dropped, forcing an emergency Caesarian section. As nurses rushed her down the hall, she couldn’t breathe; she later learned her heart stopped, leaving her without a pulse for eight minutes. During that time, Krista says her consciousness separated from her body and traveled through multiple realms— one loving, one shadowed, and one radiant with life— and she was ultimately given a choice to stay or return.
Her first awareness was floating above the delivery room, unfamiliar with humanity or even the concept of having been a person. She watched the medical team deliver her daughter and felt only curiosity, before being tugged away into a speeding tunnel of particulate darkness, then into a realm where knowledge poured into her without thought. “As soon as I sort of released this resistance to staying, I started moving very quickly through the—it was like an undulating wall— into this bright white flash of space. And all of a sudden, I stopped. And I had this download of information, and it was the answer to all the questions I ever had. It all came down to one answer, and that was love. The moment that I realized that, I felt this immense, all-encompassing, blissful love. I could have just enjoyed that feeling forever.”
Drawn next toward a widening white opening, Krista entered a gray, cloudlike room occupied by shadow beings. Among them, she felt the presence of a little boy who seemed to need her help. When he disappeared, the beings began darting toward her, draining her energy. She felt herself fading, just as she had before losing consciousness in the hallway. Wanting to leave, she was instantly pulled out. Then Krista emerged into a vivid landscape— yellow fields, rolling green hills, a blue sky, a moss-covered waterfall, and a dark evergreen forest. She merged with the scene, becoming one with it, overwhelmed with peace. “Everything was very vibrant. And I merged into this, and I was immediately one with all of it. It was me, I was it. And it was just incredibly beautiful and peaceful, and I could have stayed there eternally.” But Krista had an important decision to make.
“And then I was flanked on both sides by these very tall, beige-colored beings, and they didn’t have faces. And they communicated through feeling: ‘If you want to stay here, you can stay here. If you want to go to what is beyond this, you can do that too. Or you can go back.’ And I didn’t know what came afterwards– I didn’t have a sense of that– and I didn’t know what going back meant. But that’s what I chose. And as soon as I felt I’d like to go back, I started moving backwards very quickly.” The beings gave Krista a final instruction. “They sort of turned and communicated, ‘If you go back, you need to share what you learned here.’ And I said, ‘Okay.’ The next thing I knew, I had terrible pain in my chest.”
Krista returned to her body and spent 36 hours in the ICU [intensive care unit], intubated and placed in a medically induced coma to recover from cardiorespiratory arrest. Her daughter, born during the emergency surgery, was transferred to another hospital for intensive care. In the weeks that followed, Krista remembered none of the experience, though she felt strangely changed—calm, unhurried, and detached from her former Type-A [hard-driving] personality. Then one morning, she awoke at home with full, vivid recall of everything, “hyper real,” as if reliving it. Overwhelmed, she tried to tell her husband but couldn’t convey the magnitude of what she had seen.
Seeking understanding, she reached out online and found early near-death experience (NDE) researcher Dr. Jeffrey Long. “The last thing he said was, ‘Pay attention to your dreams.’ And I felt validated. I still feel that so strongly in my heart—that desperate need to be validated.” Krista’s memories of overwhelming love and unity stayed with her. She struggled for years to speak openly, but gradually began sharing publicly, seeing transformative effects in the people who heard her— and in herself.
“I had this profound experience where I felt this deep, like, all-encompassing love. I knew that’s why we are here— to love ourselves and love each other. And how do I express that, how do I be that? So that started my journey. And it completely transformed my life.” (The Other Side NDE)
Elevating quote of the day: “If I did not simply live from one moment to another, it would be impossible for me to be patient; but I only look at the present, I forget the past, and I take good care not to forestall the future.” — The Venerated Enlightened Saint Thérèse of Lisieux (vegetarian)
