Do you have an upcoming vet visit planned for your animal-family member? Today I’d like to offer several tips to help your furry friend have a calm, stress-free vet visit. First, you need to remain relaxed and calm since they can sense when you’re stressed which will negatively affect them. Be sure to come prepared by jotting down health notes and questions, and get your animal companion used to handling, crates, and going on short trips to the clinic. Train them on how to feel safe in a crate, and utilize a soft leash and crate to prevent stress and accidents. You can give them an ear massage during procedures such as injections to help distract them and release calming endorphins. You can also bring a toy, blanket, or use training commands to distract them. Avoid over-spoiling them when they’re anxious because this may reinforce stress responses. Each animal-individual is different. Some behave better without you present, while others may need your support; see what’s best for them. Lastly, read through client reviews to find a trusted, compassionate vet.

Shortly after the sheriff announced he would not seek reelection, the prisoners in the jail began razzing Ryker, a deputy sheriff.

“You ought to run, I’d vote for you.”

“I’ll give it some thought – after all, it looks like I’ve got the inmate vote all locked up!”
