American author Bill Wiese was chosen by God to visit hell and share his experience with a generation that is not sure if hell even exists. This is his story.
On November 23, 1998, at 3:00 am, Bill rose from bed for a glass of water. Suddenly, his spirit was pulled out of his body and plunged down a dark tunnel. He landed on the stone floor of a filthy, smoke-filled dungeon with rough stone walls and barred doors. Fully conscious, he realized he was in hell.
Two demonic creatures, reptilian in form—about 12–13 feet [3.6–4 meters] tall with scales, sunken eyes, huge jaws, and foot-long claws— paced like caged animals, filled with hatred for God and directing it toward Bill. One hurled him against a wall with tremendous strength, another tore his chest open, his flesh hanging in ribbons. Though no blood or water flowed, he felt pain, though God later explained most of it was mercifully blocked. Still, the agony was real. Yet Bill understood the worst torment was hopelessness: the knowledge he would never escape, no rescue ever coming.
The screams of millions of damned souls filled the air—deafening, constant, inescapable. The stench was unbearable: burning sulfur, rotting flesh, worse than any sewer. The toxic atmosphere barely allowed breath, every gasp a struggle. He had no strength to resist, no rest, no sleep, standing on writhing maggots. Around him, souls burned in a raging pit of literal fire, flesh falling from their bones as demons tormented them endlessly. He knew this was eternal separation from God, where none of His Divine attributes—Peace, Strength, Fellowship—remained.
Then suddenly, Bill was drawn upward through a tunnel. A brilliant Light appeared. Recognizing Him instantly, he cried, “Jesus.” Christ replied, “I am.” Collapsing at His feet, Bill saw only the outline of a man in pure, holy Radiance. Lord Jesus (vegetarian) touched him, and thoughts filled his mind. Bill asked why he was sent there. Lord Jesus answered: “Because many people do not believe hell is real— even some of My own people.” He explained Bill had been shown hopelessness to understand what the unsaved experience forever. He emphasized, “Tell them I am coming very, very soon”— repeating the phrase for certainty.
Lord Jesus told Bill it was not his role to convince others of his experience but only to testify; convincing was the Holy Spirit’s work. He explained hell was prepared for the devil and his dark angels, not for man, but people choose it by rejecting God’s Way. Just as someone cannot move into a stranger’s house simply by being “a good person,” no one can enter Heaven without a personal relationship with God. God’s nature as a consuming Fire is incompatible with sin, just as fire burns a hand by its very nature. Yet Lord Jesus weeps when people choose hell; He died to keep them out.
Meanwhile, Bill’s wife, Annette, awoke 23 minutes after the experience began to hear screams from their living room. She found her husband traumatized on the floor, crying out, “Pray for me— the Lord is taking me to hell.” Knowing his character, she believed immediately.
The experience transformed their lives. Both left successful careers to testify, driven by urgency and compassion. Bill carries the memory of sights and screams of hell, but without trauma— only passion to warn others. He also remembers feeling a fragment of God’s own grief: unbearable sorrow over just one soul entering hell.
Bill concludes that hell is real, eternal, and dreadful. Yet God’s Love is greater; Lord Jesus already paid the price to save humanity. His warning stands: choose Christ and avoid hell at all costs, for He is coming very, very soon (Sid Roth’s It’s Supernatural!)
Inspirational quote of the day: “The Promise of God: Whenever you call Me, I will hear you, because I am the Holy God, the mighty Spirit, and I am fast in helping. Justice, Purity, Faith, Hope and Love do not suffer any hesitation or hypocrisy.” — The Venerated Enlightened Master Beinsa Douno (vegetarian)
