Greetings to Supreme Master Ching Hai. I am a Muslim practitioner. I often fast, practice abstinence, and do tahajjud prayer, but I felt discontent in myself. While praying, I cried. I prayed to God, “What should I do?” My friend gave me a small book of Master with a green cover. Master wore Thai clothes, but when I saw Master’s clothes, I was surprised that She wore clothes like that, while as a Muslim practitioner, women should wear cover-up clothes and a hijab. I just put the book down for six months. But because I wanted to find the Truth, I read it. After reading it, I felt that the content was good. There were teachings of makrifat, tasawuf (Sufism), which is the essence of Islam.
I tried to find another book by Master, and my friend lent it to me. That book explained about a True Master and I realized that this was what I was looking for. Then I bought volumes 2 and 3 of Master’s book, I felt conflicted because usually during Eid al-Adha, I did animal-people sacrifices, but the book did not mention this. Finally, I read an Islamic book. There I found that we do not have to sacrifice animal-people, but I should slaughter myself, namely my ego. Finally, I didn’t do the sacrifice, and I felt content. I had a lot of constraints with my family too. They felt I was weird, and I said I was vegan for health reasons. But because Master said I have to be honest, when I visited people’s houses, I said that I was vegan.
I finally made up my mind, because Master does not discriminate between religions. In my inner vision, I met Master wearing Indonesian-style clothes and I bowed at Master’s feet while crying and asking why I had been stuck in the same state for a long time. Master replied, “It is because you think too much. Thoughts are deceiving. We have to have faith.” I had an inner vision again, meeting Master with a female Quan Yin messenger. I was asked if I had been initiated. My hands were observed and anointed with oil, and when I woke up, I really felt it was real. Finally, I was more convinced, and I was initiated on June 11, 2000.
Sometimes, if I wonder whether I am still Master’s disciple or not, I immediately have an inner vision that Master is in front of me and inside me so that I feel calm.
