In 1976, Mary K. Baxter was taken by Lord Jesus Christ (vegetarian) in spirit for 40 nights to witness hell, glimpses of Heaven, and other Divine truths.

One night around 2 AM, while Mary was praying in her Michigan [US] home, Lord Jesus appeared. Her spirit left her body, which remained beside her sleeping husband. Lord Jesus told her, “Fear not, for you shall go with Me down into the depths of hell, and you shall give this report unto the world.”

Lord Jesus and Mary rose through the roof, and she saw the Earth below. Funnels or tornado-like gateways rose from the Earth, which Lord Jesus identified as entrances to hell, invisible to the physical eyes but visible in the spirit. They descended through one such gateway into a tunnel filled with a horrible odor, screams, and bodies embedded in the walls behind a great mesh, tormented by demonic powers. The darkness was oppressive, and the stench of decaying flesh was overwhelming.

Lord Jesus explained that hell lies in the center of the Earth, shaped like a human body lying on its back, and they were entering through its “left leg.” In this region were pits of fire stretching for miles [kilometers], each about two-and-a-half feet [0.75 meters] deep and three feet [0.9 meters] across. Each pit contained a soul burning in red-hot brimstone, tormented for rejecting Christ— some out of bitterness, others choosing fame, sin, or the devil over repentance. Mary felt their terror, pain, and despair. In one pit, a woman’s skeleton form, with decaying flesh, cried in anguish. Worms crawled through her bones, unaffected by the fire. In another pit, a man who had rejected Christ’s teachings despite multiple chances sobbed, “I’m so sorry, Jesus, forgive me, take me out of here.” Lord Jesus replied with great compassion and sadness that it was too late— his judgment was set, as he had mocked the truth and refused to repent while he was still alive.

Next, Lord Jesus brought Mary to the “belly of hell,” a circular area three miles [4.8 kilometers] wide and 17 miles [27 kilometers] high, with countless rows of black jail cells embedded in the walls and a moldy, sulfurous smell in the air. Demonic activity was rampant, with evil spirits hurrying about. Mary saw satan ordering seductive female spirits to spread witchcraft and false teachings, assigning them specific locations on the Earth using movies projected on a stone wall. Lord Jesus then revealed a large, moving black object covered in snake-like scales— the heart of hell— that rose out from the underworld invisibly and spewed demonic forces onto the Earth.

In the jail cells were people who had practiced sorcery or served satan knowingly. One woman, a satan worshipper, kept shifting between flesh and bone. Another, a soothsayer and medium, had sold her soul to satan, believing his lies about eternal life. A man, a warlock, admitted to deceiving many with his dark powers. All cried for mercy, but Lord Jesus reiterated that their judgment was set because they rejected salvation while alive on Earth.

Next, in the “jaws of hell,” Mary saw new souls falling from Earth into a porthole, their cries of torment filling the air. She briefly lost sight of Lord Jesus and was seized by a demon, chained, and dragged into a cell. She experienced the torments of hell firsthand— worms crawling through her decaying form, unbearable pain, and a suffocating sense of despair— until Lord Jesus rescued her, explaining He allowed it so she could truly testify of hell’s torments to help save others.

Mary was also shown the “outer darkness,” where souls who had once known Lord Jesus but turned back to unholiness were cast into a sea of fire. A 30-foot [9.1-meter]-tall dark figure hurled a giant disc into the darkness. The disc contained nations and kingdoms, with souls marching into the fire— a vision of the Great Tribulation and end times.

After each return to her body, Mary was shaken, reliving hell’s horrors. Lord Jesus showed her more visions—satan’s influence, false teachings, and end-time deception. He warned: hell is real, but created for demons, not people. GOD’s Mercy remains for all who repent and follow Him.
